History

Faith Hope and Change was founded in 2017 by Theresa Caldera, a native of Colton, with a deep passion for serving the homeless and less fortunate. Her commitment to the community stems from a long family tradition of offering support to those in need. Growing up near the train tracks in Colton, Theresa witnessed her grandparents and parents regularly providing warm meals and clothing to transient individuals passing through the area. Inspired by this act of kindness, she developed a passion for helping others, especially with the comfort of a warm meal.

Theresa’s desire to serve her community expanded over time, and in 2019, Faith Hope and Change became an officially recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organization now serves the cities of Colton, Riverside, and San Bernardino, continuing the work that Theresa’s family began years ago.

Faith Hope and Change is a volunteer-driven organization. Every meal served, every item of clothing distributed, and every family supported is made possible through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. The collective effort of our team allows us to offer essential resources, such as hot meals for the homeless and fresh groceries for low-income families.

In addition to supporting individuals in need, we celebrate families with children of all ages through special events like toy drives, spring activities, and family fun days. These family-friendly events provide children with toys, candy, and warm meals, while offering a fun and joyful atmosphere that helps build a sense of community and belonging. We aim to create positive memories for families, fostering hope and joy even in difficult times.
